This morning the 22,900 February 21 ’25 9 / February 28 ’25 10 diagonal put spread traded in ZoomInfo Technologies Inc. (Symbol ZI) for $0.62. The investor was closing out their short position in the February 21 ’25 9 puts and rolling it to the February 28 ’25 10 puts. The open interest in the February 9 puts was 46,600 this morning so the investor may still have half of their position left in that strike and be looking to roll it out later.

Rolling a position using a diagonal spread is a common strategy that allows the investor to close out their front month position that is usually out of the money and open a position that is further out. In this case the investor is most likely taking a profit on closing out the 9 puts and speculating that ZI’s stock price will continue to rise above the 10 strike. ZI’s stock price at the time of the trade was $10.11

ZI is currently trading at $10.02. ZI has a 52-week high of $18.69 and a 52-week low of $7.65.
