Interest in daily high temperature contracts has been soaring in recent months in the Interactive Brokers prediction market and investors have been looking for additional cities to be added to the list. What started with just 10 major US cities is now 20, and international destinations will begin to turn live soon, including Madrid, Paris, Vancouver, Montreal and more. Indeed, Charlotte, Jacksonville and Oklahoma are amongst the US jurisdictions recently included and participants have already begun engaging with those. Individuals and institutions have gravitated to the instruments to speculate, hedge, market-make and arbitrage across distinct venues. Power and utilities firms have especially been eyeing the space and expressed curiosity as it relates to offsetting a lack or abundance of heating/electrical capacity as conditions of blazing heat or freezing cold can weigh on supplies and distribution processes to end consumers.

Forecast Contract - Will the highest temperature in Charlotte exceed 59 F on February 12, 2026?

Forecast Contract - Will the highest temperature in Jacksonville exceed 67 F on February 12, 2026?

Forecast Contract - Will the highest temperature in Oklahoma City exceed 71 F on February 12, 2026?
