This morning 3,000 Schrödinger, Inc. (Symbol: SDGR) September 20 ’24 35 calls traded for $0.55. The calls are a 16 delta, and the trade is the equivalent of 48,000 shares of stock. This was an opening trade with the open interest this morning only 105 contracts in the SDGR 35 calls. At the time of the trade SDGR was trading at $23.31.

It’s unclear why the investor chose the September expiration, they may be expecting a news event to be released around that time or just selling covered calls to generate income against an existing stock position.

SDGR is currently trading at $23.38. SDGR has a 52-week high of $59.24 and a 52-week low of $20.76.
