China imposes sanctions on Boeing, U.S. defense companies

SANCTIONS: 

Following the Trump administration’s approval of a weapons sale to Taiwan, the Chinese government imposed sanctions on 20 U.S. defense companies and 10 of their executives, with targets including Northrop Grumman (NOC), Boeing’s (BA) defense unit, and founder of Anduril Industries Palmer Luckey, Stu Woo of The Wall Street Journal report. Beijing intends to freeze the assets of the entities, ban them from Chinese transactions, and prohibit the executives from entering China.

STRIKES IN NIGERIA: 

At the direction of the President of the United States and the Secretary of War, and in coordination with Nigerian authorities, U.S. Africa Command conducted strikes against ISIS terrorists in Nigeria on December 25, 2025, in Sokoto State, according to a statement. The command’s initial assessment is that multiple ISIS terrorists were killed in the ISIS camps, the U.S. Africa Command said.

“U.S. Africa Command is working with Nigerian and regional partners to increase counterterrorism cooperation efforts related to on-going violence and threats against innocent lives,” said Gen. Dagvin Anderson, commander, U.S. Africa Command. “Our goal is to protect Americans and to disrupt violent extremist organizations wherever they are.”
