The IBKR Desktop is a powerful streamlined trading platform offering next generation technology and a user-friendly interface no matter the investor’s trading experience. In this series, we will show you an array of advanced order types and algorithms using the IBKR Desktop interface.  Learn how to implement powerful execution algorithms including VWAP, TWAP, and Percentage of Volume strategies that were once exclusive to professional trading desks. These algorithms optimize execution across specified timeframes while minimizing market impact and maximizing price improvement<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each lesson will focus on a specific type of order and describe in detail the specific functions of each to help you distinguish between them, when to use them and why some order types might better suit your level of trading and investing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will also address risk management and how that plays in using certain order types such as stops and bracket orders.  We will also address features of IB\u2019s algo order types, designed to help investors achieve price improvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
