A number around 210k was projected against the backdrop of the last five prints hovering in a narrow range between 205k and 214k. Indeed, there was a 53% chance of a result ahead of 210k while there were 45% odds of a figure failing to exceed that threshold. Looking under and over, meanwhile, the likelihoods of a statistic at 200k or beneath or north of 220k stood at 13% and 9%. A separate look at the weekly Reuters poll as of Wednesday showed a median estimate of 210k across the 37 economic prognosticators, alongside minimum and maximum values of 205k and 215k.

Disclaimer:
Forecast Contracts are only available to eligible clients of Interactive Brokers LLC, Interactive Brokers Canada Inc., Interactive Brokers Hong Kong Limited, Interactive Brokers Ireland Limited and Interactive Brokers Singapore Pte.
