On Thursday, Canada\u2019s fourth-quarter Gross Domestic Product (GDP) print was expected to be near 0 by IBKR forecast trader participants. The chances of a figure above -0.2% stood at 80% while the odds of a number that fails to exceed 0.2% was also at 80%. Meanwhile, there was an 18% probability of a 0.3% or higher result. Activity has been sluggish, as weak consumption, uncertain trade policy, stagnating residential investment and a contracting manufacturing sector weigh on performance. Lightening labor force participation and soft home prices are additional headwinds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
